Description
A play on a classic middle eastern dish, this easy hummus recipe only calls for a few ingredients and no tahini is required. Roasted red peppers, garlic and a little heat make this a must try delicious dip.

- 1 can chickpeas
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 6 oz roasted red pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tsp garlic minced
- 1 1/3 tbsp lemon juice (1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon)
- 1 tbsp sriracha
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- salt & black pepper (to taste)
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in a food processor in the order listed above.
- Blend on high for 2 minutes or until smooth
- Scoop into a serving dish and enjoy
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 1 week
Notes
- Sriracha is a hot chili sauce. If you do not like spicy food, omit this ingredient.
- If you prefer tahini, you may use tahini instead of peanut butter
- You can top with red pepper flakes, garlic, and/or a little extra olive oil
- You can garnish with fresh herbs
