Description

Teriyaki is a staple sauce in Japanese cuisine and I almost always make my own homemade teriyaki sauce because it is so easy! I use this sauce at least a few times a month and it only takes five minutes to make. The savory-salty-sweet flavor is perfect for teriyaki chicken, teriyaki salmon, or stir fry. This great sauce is even better than the store-bought stuff and the best part is you only need four ingredients to make a delicious teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/3 cup Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp Corn Starch

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and corn starch with a spoon or French whisk.
  2. It will thicken as it sits. I only cook it when adding it to my dishes just as you would with traditional teriyaki sauce.
  3. Store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
