Description
This is the easiest recipe for a no bake holiday treat. These Halloween chocolate dipped peanut butter crackers combine three American favorites, peanut butter, chocolate, and delicious Ritz crackers! These Halloween chocolate peanut butter Ritz crackers are an easy sweet and salty treat and so much fun to make. Full of chocolaty goodness and creamy peanut butter, they only use a handful of simple ingredients and the kids can help! Perfect for holiday parties and special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Peanut Butter
- 1/4 cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 tbsp Water
- 1 pkg Ritz Crackers
- 1 pkg Melting Chocolate
- Halloween Sprinkles
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix peanut butter, powdered sugar, and water with a whisk or an electric hand mixer.
- Place ritz crackers on a sheet pan lined with wax paper spacing them out so they are not touching.
- Add a dollop of peanut butter to each cracker using either a spoon or my piping bag method discussed above.
- Place a second Ritz cracker on top of the peanut butter and gently press down careful not to break the cracker.
- Melt the melting chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for 120 seconds. Once it starts to melt, microwave on 50% power in 30-second increments stirring in between until the chocolate is smooth. Do NOT try and rush this part or the chocolate will burn.
- Once the chocolate is melted, dip the crackers or fully immerse them in the chocolate for a covered cracker.
- After coating the peanut butter Ritz crackers, lay them out to set up on a cookie sheet or wire rack lined with wax paper or parchment paper. For my half dipped crackers I found that I could stand them up on end in my mini muffin tin so I could decorate both sides.
- While the chocolate is still wet, use your hand to drizzle the sprinkles over each cracker. If you use melting chocolate it sets up faster so don’t wait too long.
- Once all the Ritz cracker sandwiches are dipped or covered, place the baking sheet in the fridge for 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
- Warning, you may need a cold glass of milk to go with these 😉
