Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 Hard-Boiled Eggs (Fresh Cooked or Store Bought)
  • 1 1/2 Large Avocados
  • 2 tbsp Mayo
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Everything Bagel Seasoning
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper
  • 1/4 block of White Cheese (Mozzarella or White Cheddar)
  • Lime Juice from 1/2 of a Lime
  • Cilantro for garnish
  • Red Pepper Flakes for garnish
  • 6 drops of Green Food Coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hard boil 6 eggs and peel the white shell off or buy pre-made hardboiled eggs like I did to make this super easy!
  2. Place eggs on a cutting board and slice eggs in half lengthwise and remove the egg yolks. They should pop out easily if you flip them over and press on it lightly.
  3. Flip the white half over with the hole facing down and slice off a tiny bit to flatten out the bottom. See my notes above on this step.
  4. Add all the egg yolks to a medium bowl and combine with the avocados, mayo, garlic powder, chili powder, everything bagel seasoning, salt, pepper, and lime juice. I used an electric hand mixer for this part.
  5. Place mixture into a Ziploc bag or piping bag. (see above instructions on my plastic bag method)
  6. Place the hard boiled egg whites into a deviled egg tray or plate and gently squeeze mixture into the cavity. If using a round tray or plate, start in the middle so you don’t have to reach over eggs that have already been filled. You will want to do this in a three squeeze up and down motion to get the tiered effect of the Christmas tree. Be careful not to overfill as they get top heavy.
  7. Sprinkle the tops of the eggs with additional chili powder, cilantro, red pepper flakes, and freshly shredded cheese.
  8. Top with cheese stars. See notes above on how to make the stars.
  9. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
